Happy One Year

Today is our big one-year anniversary! I cannot believe how fast the year flew by! To celebrate, we’re heading up to Boston to dine in the North End and then seeing Wicked at the Boston Opera House. I’m so pumped for a night out on the town with Bill! I’ll share some pictures next week!

Reflecting back on this day a year ago, I remember the craziness, excitement, happiness and love that were all floating around in the air. It was such a thrilling time and I still look back on it all and have to remind myself that it really happened, because it was just that good. I could not be more pleased with the memories I have surrounding our wedding, as it was the happiest day of my life.

I have yet to do any type of post about our ceremony or the mega dance party that took place soon thereafter. I’ll keep both short and sweet, because I think the pictures can speak for themselves.
Our ceremony was ah-mazing. I’ve mentioned before that it rained on our big day, so our plan for this beautiful outdoor ceremony was kaboshed. However, having it inside was such an example that things really do happen for a reason. It was as cozy, romantic and as intimate as you would want your ceremony to be.

Our bridal party entered to These are the Days by Van Morrison.

And then my Dad and I followed by entering to The Book of Love by Peter Gabrielle. Walking down the aisle was probably the most nerve wracking 30 seconds of my life, but I am so glad I was hooked on to my Dad’s arm.

My favorite part of our ceremony was our vows, or better yet, Billy’s vows. He blew me (and I think the entire room) away with what he wrote and said. It was the perfect mix of humor and lovey dovey stuff. I really wanted our ceremony to have a personal feeling to it, and I think us writing and reading our own vows really did that. When I watch back the wedding video, you could hear a pin drop as we read through them. It was perfect.

Traci read this amazing poem about friendship turning into love. Again, it was just perfect.

All of my girls!
Andddd all of our guys!

The big kiss!

Introducing the Glynns

Okay, enough of all that. Before we knew, we were pronounced husband and wife and it was time to party. My other favorite part of the evening. After months of planning, stressing and waiting, it was time to kick back and have a great time with friends and family. And a great time was certainly had. The dance floor was packed, our DJ was playing the best music and it felt like no one left the floor. Here is photo parade of the rest of the evening.

Thanks for tuning in on a Saturday! In honor of our one year, I’ll be sharing a couple more posts about wedding projects, our vows, and hopefully some clips of our wedding video this week.

And to my husband, happy anniversary. Love you to the moon and back.
Have a great weekend!
